But in mid 1970, the serial numbers are not a continuation of the previous ones. Instead, now they have a “70” as the first two digits. The numbers style remains up until mid-1976 before the “70” is moved to the last two digits. Determine the age from the serial number if possible. Some serial numbers can be interpreted by weeks and years. So a number reading 1193CA4567 would be dated as the eleventh week of 1993.
